I'm not totally sure what the red plastic toy is, but I definitely remember the whole "Who Is The Real Cap'n?" fiasco. A series of commercials promoted the promotion (yes), and the premium arrives with a pair of "Fake Finders" 3-D glasses, plus a puzzle sheet that'd ultimately reveal the real Cap'n Crunch. Other premiums included other "clues," with kids who answered correctly getting the chance to win fabulous prizes, like Nintendo's "Game Boy" or a Huffy bike. The prizes are shown -- also in 3-D -- on the other side of the sheet. So, who was the real Cap'n? Just look closely. You'll figure it out.
