See, the thing about "Garlic Candy" is...it's really not all that bad. The "garlic" is usually placed in jelly-like globs found in the center of a yucky-but-not-deadly sucking candy. Very rarely is the entire thing flavored like garlic, and even when it is, the sugary candy is a hundred times more prominent. I've actually eaten them just for the hell of it, in the absence of more desired treats. Kingdom for a Twix.
Still, you'll occasionally come across a particularly offensive batch worth sharing with your enemies. In those cases, it's not so much an ambiance of garlic, but rather a peppery, fishy flavor. It all depends on the company who makes it. This version tastes like a typical sugar candy at first, but soon reveals a center filled with spicy goo that I pray to God is just garlic. >>> Close Window
