R2-D2 Figural Eraser (Butterfly Originals, 1983)
What the crap? I'd expect this level of unfaithfulness from a dirty bootlegger, but Butterfly Originals? Come on, they bought the rights -- surely there wouldn't have been a problem in making the R2 figural eraser actually...I dunno, look like R2-D2? PS, you're not seeing a backside view of the thing -- that's the front, and yes, the alleged droid lacks the dark dome lens that was so obviously meant to be his eye. I don't like robots who can't see, because they're always bumping into things and it doesn't make sense to spend all that money making robots who bump into things. The package suggests that small, cylindrical robots are excellent substitutions for naked slave girls in Jabba's court.
