Okay, here's the deal: my friend Tummi, and I swear that's his real name, crafted this spooky mix that blends 31 different quotes from various movies, shows, toons and whatnot into "Oh Fortuna by Apotheosis," a song that was kinda creepy even without all the bloodthirsty soundbytes. Download the mix, and listen closely! After you've identified at least 29 of the sayings, send in your answers. You only need to mention what the quote is from, and not who said it. If you're on the mark, your name will automatically be entered into a drawing for a boxed set of five Soul Calibur 2 figures -- roughly a 75 dollar haul, free! Hooray for Halloween!
The mix itself has for months been my circle of friends' chosen theme for drinking games and any video game competitions that involve beating the other players to a pulp, so we hope it'll find its way onto your Halloween mix CDs. Who knows -- maybe you'll have something to hand your wedding DJ when the party starts dying out. The quotes found in the mix should be at least vaguely familar to X-E's readers, but naming all 31 of 'em? That's tougher. Are you up for the challenge? Extended Bullshit Rules: Contest will end on October 25, 2003. All entrants who successfully named at least 29 of the 31 quotes will have their names put into a random drawing; one winner will take home the Soul Calibur figures. Winner will be unveiled on October 26th, 2003. Losers will receive nothing, not even a "thanks for playing!" note. Sucks to lose, doesn't it?
